About Klosters

Klosters is a picture-book Alpine resort: a chic chalet-style village, authentic traditions and an international character thanks to its many cosmopolitan residents. This is probably why even royal guests feel at home here.

Klosters became famous as a winter and summer resort over 100 years ago. A decisive impetus for its development into a stylish vacation classic for connoisseurs came in the 1950s. At that time, many famous names from the American and British film, music and theater scene discovered the ski resort, earning it the nickname “Hollywood on the Rocks”. In the wake of this era, many British and American guests were drawn to Klosters and found their second home here. They shaped the style and atmosphere of the resort for decades, and their children are still doing so today.
